Saturday 17th June 2:00 pm at The Horbury Street Fair - Top of Queen Street. Briggate were due to appear but pulled out due to numbers
I only found out about the street fair gig via a mate in the Yorkshire Wild Life Trust conservation crew who is also a supporter of the street fair. Efforts to turn up any solid data on timings venues etc proved difficult as the stuff comes via the conduit of Facebook which is essentially the mindless chatter of involved, and uninvolved, parties. BUT ITS CHEAP so what can go wrong? Well for starters the team actually put in three appearances during the Saturday, fighting against amplified music from competing venues. Finding out where or when could as far I could see meant visiting the "Committee Control Point" which accounts for the incredible lack of support.
Full marks to the side and the young dancers who put in the effort inspite of the heat and the apathy of the crowd. Hope you reap a reward in just on, better more, recruits.
