So 2024 and the world of traditional dance continues to educate, entertain and inform the good folk of Britain that yes we do have a history and it's great fun. This year the Beercart Festival and Sidmouth Folk Festival, what other delights are yet to come?

****** AUGUST ******
Saturday 3rd to Monday 5th August Sidmouth Folk Festival. I make this the 3rd appearance for Wakefield at the festival. I'll guess some of the current side were not born when we first appeared in 1987, enjoy; it's a great festival. We got the '87 invite in February if I recall. Maybe the committee were struggling to accept the idea of a mixed team dancing at Sidmouth! We even blagged accomodation which was another first for an English side if my memory serves me well. Ah those were the days.

****** SEPTEMBER ******

****** OCTOBER ******

****** NOVEMBER ******

****** DECEMBER ******
26th Boxing Day at the Kings Arms, Heath Common. 12.30 pm. The one event I can predict come hell, high water, ice , snow or even an act of God will always see a team dancing. Hopefully that team will be Wakefield Morris. Timings and date are traditional, check back to the Facebook entry for any changes!
